The Harvest

This design is based on verses from the Gospel of Matthew. In Peterson's The Message, it is written: When he looked out over the crowds his heart broke. So confused and aimless were they, like sheep with no shepherd. "What a huge harvest!" he said to his disciples. "How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!" The greens, reds and yellows are used to represent the harvest from the fields. Of course, Jesus was speaking of people. Today we still have a lot of harvesting to do. Biblical Reference: Matthew 9:37-38 - Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into the harvest field." NIV
