Choose Life
Deuteronomy 30:19
This day I ca! heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. (NIV Bible) #

This past year I reconnected with a high school friend. He heard about my book and art work and asked me to do a design for pro-life. This design is the result of that request and subsequent prayer. The design is dominated by the cross in the upper left quadrant illustrating the love of Jesus for the children. The children’s blocks, swinging cradles, and linking lines illustrate joy and movement. As I prayed and worked on this design I felt the joy, love and trust of childhood. I remembered holding my new born son and daughter in my arms, and then years later my two grandchildren. Bless the Lord! # I believe children are a gift from God, as written in Genesis 33:5, Then Esau looked up and saw the women with the children. “Who are these with you?” he asked. Jacob answered, “They are the children God has graciously given your servant.” Those who favor abortion say a woman has the right to choose. It is a choice of willful disobedience to the Lord, a closed mind and a hardened heart. In Matthew 18:5 it is written, “And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large mi!stone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Where does that leave an abortionist? # Medical science tells us that a real, not a potential, human being is created at the time of conception. In Psalm 51:5, the author was years ahead of us when he wrote, “Surely, I was sinful at birth, sinful %om the time my mother conceived me.” Or as written in Jeremiah 1:5, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” The teachings in Scripture are clear. As Christians in the marketplace we can no longer remain silent while people murder children. We must speak up for the children. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them.” If those who support abortion ever come face to face with Jesus, I believe they will hear him say, “I do not know you.”
